Sihanoukville

Sihanoukville was the new name given to Kompong Som in the 60s by then-King Norodom Sihanouk. It never really caught on. The locals still call it Kompong Som, but foreigners seem to prefer Sihanoukville, although neither really rolls ofF the tongue.
